““CrossFitters represent just one wave of a fitness sea change, in which well-to-do Americans abandon easy, convenient forms of exercise in favor of workouts grueling enough to resemble a kind of physical atonement.””

A really cool shot from @lillyrosenthal of one of my favorite boulders in the world. I managed to put up a total of 7 climbs on this awesome bloc and the one featured is, “between earth and sky” V14 (8B+), the hardest on the boulder! New year and I am already thinking about how excited I am to return to Africa in 5.5 months :) #bouldering #rockclimbing #climbing #climbing_pictures_of_instagram (at Cederberg Mountain Range)

For good reason, this group of climbers keeps coming back to explore the big wall climbing found in the Andes mountains near Huaraz, Peru …

It’s surrounded by endless snow-covered peaks with virtually no one around, offering seemingly limitless potential for all styles of alpine exploration. It also doesn’t hurt that it’s home to La Esfinge (The Sphinx)—likely Peru’s largest big wall: over 3,000 feet tall and situated at 17,470 feet.

In this film, join these climbers as they embark on overnight journey up the Original Route established in 1985 on this impressive wall; including a battle with some less-than-ideal weather, a bit of loose rock, and some exciting off-route wandering.
